| Camlough Lake Festival 17-19th September |

Building upon last years successful Guinness World Record, the Camlough Lake Festival committee have planned a fantastic festival for the weekend of 17-19th September. The main events are the Irish Long Distance Junior 5km Championship and the Camlough Open 10km Swim, with £1,000 prize money for the winners. Other events include Opening event Reunion Swim Guinness World Record Holders
Male and Female Water polo Tournament starts off on Friday night and will run over the course of the week end with teams from all over Ireland and across the water taking part. This event has also attracted sponsorship with prize money of 200.00 to the winning team
Swimming by Moonlight enjoy the experience of swimming safely in the dark a buddy system will be in place
Fun Triathlon it’s a knock out style competition, Water Skiing Competition, Synchronised swimming, urban fire and rescue unit display, Junior Aqua- thons, Senior Aqua-thon (Last Man Standing competition), Fly fishing demonstration Kayak Race races which will take place over various distance’s which have a Special Olympics category included.
A 50 mt Swimming Gala is taking place on the Saturday in Northern Irelands first 50mt open water swimming pool there are 6 age group categories from 14years and under to 51 and over. All you Master’s swimmers enjoy the challenge of swimming the four swim strokes with over all group male and female winners
To complete a fun filled week-end Brian of Bangor boats an ILDSA Pilot will be presenting a talk on The History of Swimming the North Channel.
