Colleen Mallon set a new course record in the East Coast adventure swim from Rostrevor to Warrenpoint on Saturday 24^th July in a time of 51.13.

Building on her recent wins in ILDSA events at Lough Sheelin, Copeland Island & Clewbay, the 24 year old Bessbrook lady finished 5 minutes in front of another local swimmer Bill Donnelly, who finished on 56.15 and was the first man home. Bill was followed closely by Lurgan lady Catherine Hanratty in a time of 56.53, and second man home was Jeff Wilson from Ballymoney in a time of 1.00.17.

The next swim in this area is the Round the Rock Open 1.5km Handicap race on Saturday 31st July at 3pm in Warrenpoint
