This is a resource published by the Dept for Social Development to provide guidance in effective management for voluntary organisations. Each chapter deals with a key area of organisational management; outlines best practice principles, provides appropriate examples, includes a checklist and lists a number of contacts for support. The guidance is not exhaustive, it is not intended to be, but it highlights best practice principles and identifies Government’s requirements of the voluntary sector, particularly when grant aid has been provided from public funds. Any clubs who have queries about the manual should contact our Business Manager, Gerry Cappa (who was one of the authors of the manual).
